FAIRFIELD ALABAMA HOUSING AUTHORITY

REQUEST FOR BIDS (RFB)

FOR LAWN SERVICE

The Fairfield Alabama Housing Authority (FAHA) is now seeking Bids for Contract Lawn/Landscaping Service to include all FAHA properties.  All Bids must be received no later than 10:00 a.m. local time on March 14, 2022 at the Central Office of the FAHA, 6704 Ave D, Fairfield, Alabama 35064.  Bids must be delivered via (hand/ USPS/Email: (dbryant@fairfieldha.org) to: FAHA, 6704 Ave D, Fairfield, Alabama 35064, Attention:  LAWN SERVICE RFP, NO FAXED PROPOSALS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Bids packets are available at the Office of the FAHA at the above address or may be requested from Dionne Bryant via email at dbryant@fairfieldha.org.  Questions should be directed to the Executive Director at the above address or via email: seady@fairfieldha.org 

 All submitted Bids will be evaluated for responsiveness to the requirements of the Request for Bids (RFBs).  Those Bids that are not in accordance with the RFB will be deemed non-responsive and eliminated from further evaluation.

Scope of Services shall include the mowing of all established lawn areas, trimming all areas inaccessible to mowers, edging all walkways/driveways and cleaning grass clippings from walkways and trimming all shrubs biweekly/monthly during the period of the Service Contract.

The duration of the contract shall be from April 1, 2022 - March  31, 2023

If a contract between a Contractor and the Housing Authority is terminated, the Authority has the option at its sole discretion to re-bid or offer the contract to the second ranked Contractor. 

The Responders shall provide the authority a copy of a Certificate of Insurance showing that the following insurance are in force and will guarantee all operations under the Responder's Bids.

A.    Worker's Compensation Insurance

B.     Commercial/General Liability Insurance with a combined single limit for bodily injury and property damage of not less than $300,000 per each occurrence.

C.    Automobile Insurance Policy

D.    Job Title of all Employees

The Responder shall provide equal employment opportunities, without regard to race, sex, color, religion, age or national origin.  The Responder shall conform to all applicable Laws, Codes, Regulations, and Executive Orders with respect to prohibitions against wage kickbacks, or rebate, rate of compensation, workplace safety and health standards and of compensation, and other applicable laws set forth in the Copeland Anti-Kickback, Davis-Bacon Act, Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA).  Section 3: Contractors must be willing to comply with Section Three Requirements for new employment, training and contracting opportunities as outlined in Title 24, CFR Part 75. Prior to issuance of the plans and Specifications, all Contractors must provide evidence that he/she are properly licensed for the classification of the work specified in this IFB. Evidence should be in the form of a copy of current license clearly indicating all classification and must be in good standing with the State Licensing Board for General Contractors. 

FAIRFIELD ALABAMA HOUSING AUTHORITY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REJECT ANY AND ALL PROPOSALS OR TO WAIVE ANY INFORMALITY WITH THE BIDS.
